Micro-Steps Into the New Year

We made it! We’ve officially stepped out of 2025 and are ready to welcome 2026 with open arms, open hearts, and open minds.

I know that for many, the "New Year" energy can feel a bit heavy. Between making resolutions and setting massive goals, it’s easy to feel like you’re staring at an unattainable feat. But here is the deal: it doesn’t have to be that way.

Why I Love Mondays

If you know anything about me, you know I actually love Mondays. I’m not shy about the "Sunday Scaries" because, to me, Monday is a fresh page. It’s a micro-step toward what I can accomplish for the week.

I view each day as a small path toward a larger destination. When we break down our big dreams into tiny, manageable actions, the "impossible" suddenly feels doable.

The Snowball Effect

Sometimes, my micro-step is as simple as adding a glass of water to my morning routine before my beloved coffee. You might think, "It’s just water," but look at what happened next:

That glass of water led to me eating breakfast daily (something I had wanted to add to my routine for a long time).
That breakfast gave me more energy for my morning meetings.
That energy led to a more productive workday.

This is the snowball effect. Taking small, actionable steps shouldn't feel overwhelming; it should feel like a small accomplishment that builds momentum toward your "Big Goal."

Let’s Tackle the Steps Together

At Life Simply Planned, I believe that life is a series of transitions—whether you are moving into a new home or simply moving into a new version of yourself.

I know that sometimes even the "baby steps" can feel like too much to take on alone. That is why I’ve added a new service where I work side-by-side with my clients to tackle those micro-steps together. Whether you are navigating a real estate transaction or a life transition, I’m here to help you simplify the plan.

Organization, staging, decorating, or even a messy kitchen drawer - I’m here to help! Let me step into your space and tackle something that has been overwhelming you.

Bringing Micro-Steps Home

Sometimes the overwhelm isn’t in the goal itself—it’s in the space around you.

That next chapter you’re working toward can feel harder when your home feels cluttered, unfinished, or out of sync with how you’re trying to live. One of the ways I help clients take meaningful micro-steps is by stepping into those spaces with them.

Whether it’s organization, staging, decorating, or even tackling something as small as a messy kitchen drawer, these projects don’t have to feel big to make a big impact. We break them down, handle them thoughtfully, and make them feel manageable—so you can focus your energy on the other steps you’re taking toward 2026.

You don’t have to do everything at once. Sometimes progress starts with one drawer, one room, or one decision.

Happy 2026—let’s take that first micro-step together.
