Selling Your Home This Fall? Start at the Front Door.

Who says you can't have a little fun with your home decor when your house is on the market? Fall is one of my favorite seasons for creating a welcoming first impression, and a thoughtfully decorated front porch can make a home feel warm, inviting, and memorable before buyers even step inside.

When staging your home for a fall listing, don't be afraid to embrace the season! Bright pops of color from fresh mums, classic pumpkins, beautiful planters, and a few festive touches can bring life to your entryway while complementing your home's exterior. The key is keeping things intentional. You want buyers to appreciate the architecture and curb appeal of your home, with seasonal decor adding a little extra personality rather than becoming the main attraction.

I love using classic fall decorations that feel timeless rather than overly themed. A mix of colorful flowers, varying pumpkin sizes, and a simple doormat can completely change the look of an entryway without requiring a major investment.

And, of course, sometimes the very best finishing touch isn't decor at all. It's a ridiculously cute dog named Merrick, who happens to be pretty talented at making an already beautiful front porch even more photogenic! 🐾

Whether you're preparing to list your home or simply want to give your front entrance a seasonal refresh, never underestimate what a little attention to curb appeal can do. First impressions matter, and fall gives us plenty of ways to make them count.

Need a little front porch inspiration? Thinking about buying or selling in the area? Or just want to say hi to Merrick?
