The End of an Era: Saying Goodbye to WES
Wow. I knew this week would be emotional, but I don't think anything could have truly prepared me for it.
As of today, my youngest son has officially graduated from 5th grade at Wallingford Elementary School (WES). It is truly the end of an era for our family. Next year, both of my boys will be walking the halls of Strath Haven Middle School. Someone pass the tissues, please! 😭
Countless Blessings & Incredible Teachers
Looking back on our years at WES, I am filled with overwhelming gratitude. We are so incredibly lucky to live in a community with such a phenomenal school district. My children have been blessed with the most amazing, dedicated teachers year after year. They didn't just teach my boys; they cared for them, encouraged them, and helped them grow into the wonderful kids they are today.
The Heart of Wallingford
What makes WES so special is the unmatched sense of community. You feel it in absolutely everything they do. From the chaotic fun of field trips and school dances to the amazing after-school activities, Wallingford has so much to offer its families. I am so deeply proud to be a member of this community and to have had my boys start their educational journeys here.
Excitement (and Tears) for the Next Chapter
While I am bursting with pride and so excited to see what the future holds for my boys at Strath Haven, my heart is aching just a little bit today. I'm genuinely going to miss the morning school bus routine, the familiar faces, and the wonderful staff at WES who became such a staple in our daily lives.
A quick public service announcement: If you see me around town this week, please give me a hug! I am still struggling to process how fast time flies, even though I'm thrilled for this next chapter.
Thank you, WES, for the memories, the love, and the incredible foundation. Middle school, here we come! 🖤
